Obituary for Arthur "Art" Nuttelman


Arthur L. “Art” Nuttelman, 65, of West Salem, died after an extended illness on February 5, 2024, at Mulder Health Care Facility in West Salem.

He was born April 20, 1958, in La Crosse to LaVerne and Nancy (Hall) Nuttelman. Art graduated from West Salem High School in 1976 and lived in the area his entire life. He was active in FFA and received the State Farmer Degree from the Wisconsin FFA.

Much of his youth and adult life was spent working on the family farm. Art enjoyed raising and showing the family’s registered angus and spot pigs at county and state fairs and national shows. He also worked as a hired hand for area farmers during crop season. Later in life, Art worked for CESA 4 as their van delivery driver. He retired from CESA due to his declining health.

He enjoyed spending time with his special friend, helping on her farm, and traveling to national cattle shows to compete showing cattle. Art also enjoyed deer hunting and watching stock car racing.

Survivors include his mother, Nancy Nuttleman; special friend, Colene Miller; brothers, Richard (Cathy) and Paul; sister, Linda (Bryan) Mullendore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Art was preceded in death by his father, LaVerne Nuttelman.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Jostad Chapel, West Salem. A private burial will be held at a later date. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
