Christopher D. Cozy
Christopher D. Cozy, 30, of Onalaska, died Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.
He was born October 25, 1980, in La Crosse to Douglas and Therese (Lanzel) Cozy.  Chris attended Logan High School in La Crosse and Sparta High School.  On December 20, 2006, he married Grace Jandt at St. John's Lutheran Church in Barre Mills.  As a young boy, he was a member of the La Crosse Boys Choir and continued his love of music by teaching himself how to play the guitar, which was a passion of his.  Chris was employed at City Brewery in La Crosse for over 8 years.  When he wasn't working he enjoyed fishing and especially spending time with his family and friends.  Remembering memories of Chris being a competitive horseshoe player will always bring a smile to the faces of his family.
Survivors include his wife, Grace; three children, Taylor Mae, Annabelle Grace, and Jackson Brian Christopher, all living at home; his mother, Terry Cozy (Dan Chesebro) of La Crosse; his sister, Erin Cozy and her daughter, Lauren Cozy, both of La Crosse; his maternal grandfather, Robert Lanzel (Avis Lebiecki) of Onalaska; his paternal grandmother, Audrey Tikal of La Crosse; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Sue Jandt of Barre Mills; two sisters-in-law, Betsy (Jeff) Parr and Katie Jandt (Jaymie Von Ruden), both of La Crosse; his brother-in-law, Joseph Jandt (Jennifer Parker) of Barre Mills; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Lanzel; his paternal grandfather James Cozy; and his dear friends, Jason Onsgard (fiance, Rebecca Frea) and Brian Shuda.
Memorial services will be Friday, March 18, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, (Woodruff Chapel), 4239 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse.  Rev. Andrew Schultz will officiate.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and may be sent to the Christopher Cozy Memorial Fund, c/o Union State Bank, 120 So.
