Anita R. Doering, 87, of West Salem, formerly of Markesan, Wis., passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Mulder Health Care Facility, West Salem.
She was born April 17, 1923, in Alto, Wis., to Bert and Hattie (Redeker) Rens.  On November 27, 1940, she married Lloyd G. Doering in Ripon, Wis., and they had two children, Kenneth L. and Janell Ann.  Most of Anita's life was spent in the Markesan area as a farmer's wife.  After she later moved into the city of Markesan, she worked as a nurse's aid at the Markesan Nursing Home.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Kenneth and Mary (Fisher) Doering of West Salem; two grandsons, Todd (Christa) Doering of Waunakee, Wis. and Sean Doering (special friend, Lori Herrick and her son, Jacob) of DeForest, Wis.; her son-in-law, Kendall "Ken" Koeppler of Madison, Wis.; two step-grandchildren, Hannah and Cole Fisher, both of La Crosse; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Rens of Waupun, Wis. and Dorothy (Charles) Leemon of Rosendale, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd on November 25, 1990; her daughter, Janell on January 15, 2005; her brother, Clayton Rens; her daughter-in-law, Cherryl Doering; and her brother-in-law, Lester (Alice) Doering.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 65 W. Catherine St., Markesan.  Rev. Roy Hefti will officiate.  Burial will be in the Markesan Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Online condolences may be sent at www.jandtfredrickson.com.
