Obituary for Kenneth L. "Kenny" "Spike" Lemke

Kenneth L. "Kenny" "Spike" Lemke passed away February 12, 2011, at his home in La Crosse.
He was born January 11, 1945, in La Crosse to Le Roy "Bud" and Delores (Stach) Lemke. Ken and Marjorie "Pudge" Juen met in June of 1966, and were married October 1, 1966. They had two wonderful children, Sally (Ed) Keil of El Cajon, Calif. and Mathew Lemke (Tracy Grant) of La Crosse. Our little family was blessed with a grandson, Tyler Lemke who is Mat's son. Grandpa Ken was so proud to go and cheer Tyler on in the baseball and football games Tyler participated in. Besides his pride and passion for his family, he was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and collected a room full of Packer memorabilia. Kenny was employed for 30 years at the G. Heileman Brewing Co. until his retirement in 1999.
In addition to being survived by his wife, children, and his grandchild, he also left behind his mother-in-law, Doris Larson of De Soto, Wis.; his sisters-in-law, Sandra Juen of Genoa, Wis., Sharon Ames (Butch Wintz) of De Soto, Wis., and Sue (Gary) Oldenburg of De Soto, Wis.; his mother, Delores Stach of La Crosse; his brothers, Dan (Karen) Lemke of La Crosse and Le Roy "Johnnie" Lemke of Washington, D.C.; his sister, Michele (Gerald) Lemke-Olson of West Salem; and from these two families, he had many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Le Roy Lemke; his step-father-in-law, Lyle Larson; his father-in-law, Raymond Juen; one grandson, Jacob Edward Keil; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Juen.
Kenny's passing leaves such a hole in our hearts and family, but we were sure blessed to have him in our lives.
In accordance with Kenny's wishes, his body will be cremated and a visitation will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, (Woodruff Chapel), 4239 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will be no services or burial.
