Obituary for Margaret E. Schuldt

Margaret E. Schuldt, 80, of rural Freeburg, Minn., passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
She was born February 17, 1930, in Spring Grove, Minn., to Herman and Emma (Hahn) Tewes. Margaret was co-salutatorian of the 1948 graduating class of Caledonia High School. On June 23, 1948, she married Wilbert Schuldt at the Evangelical Church of Peace in Crooked Creek Township. Together Margaret and Wilbert farmed on the home farm in Crooked Creek Township most of their married life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was an excellent role model as a woman of faith.
Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Wilbert of rural Freeburg, Minn.; four children, Owen Schuldt of Spring Grove, Minn., Alta (Charles) Lampert of rural Freeburg, Gloria (Roger) Suehs of Manawa, Wis., and Sheila (Alvin) Moen of Ridgeway, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Anderson of rural Eitzen, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Karmen; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Church of Peace, Crooked Creek Township, rural Freeburg. Rev. Dr. William J. Reese, Th.D., will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, 518 W. Main St., Caledonia, Minn., on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be sent at
