Obituary for Robert A. "Bob" Sullivan
He was born November 6, 1932, to William and Besse (Hynek) Sullivan. Bob attended and graduated from Central High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Korean War on the USS-Leyte (CV-32) until being honorably discharged.
On June 10, 1955, Bob married Patsy Jande at the St. John’s Reformed Church in La Crosse. For 40 years, Bob owned and operated his own construction company and for 15 years he was the building inspector for the City of La Crosse.
Bob and Patsy enjoyed traveling, dancing, and listening to bands and Bob enjoyed cars and rebuilding MGB’s.
Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Sullivan (Dan Wildt) and Kelly Smith; five grandchildren, Ben (Val) Ludwigson, Derek (Whitney) Beier, Tyler Smith, Ashley Smith, and Liam Sullivan; two great-grandchildren, Carson and Briggs Beier; two sisters, Pat Miller and Judy Molzahn; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy; son, Robert William Sullivan; and two brothers-in-law, Patrick Miller and Jon Molzahn.
Private graveside services with military honors will be held at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Coulee Region Humane Society.
