Obituary for Helen (Sherriff) Paris

Helen (Sherriff) Paris, 90, of Winona, Minn., passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the Lake Winona Manor.
She was born October 10, 1921, in Caledonia, Minn., to Ernest and Hazel (Lee) Pieper.  In May of 1941, she married LaVern J. Sherriff and they later divorced.  In 1953, she married Ray Paris and together they farmed in the Caledonia area for many years.  Ray preceded her in death on June 26, 1986.
Survivors include her two daughters, Helen (Curtis) Lippe of Decorah, Iowa and Loretta (Leonard) Klug of Caledonia; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, LaVern and daughter-in-law, Sharon in 2010; and her brothers, George and Wilfred Pieper.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 14, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, 518 W. Main St., Caledonia.  Pastor Tony Hanson will officiate.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Online condolences may be sent at
