Obituary for Lois A. Graff


Lois A. Graff, 75, of La Crosse, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.
Lois was born October 16, 1935, in La Crosse to Emil and Anna (Fuchs) Temp. She was a graduate of Aquinas High School in La Crosse. On January 15, 1955, Lois married Richard "Dick" Graff at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in La Crosse. She was employed as a secretary at Trane Company in La Crosse for 38 years. Lois was an incredibly kind and generous person to the world. She made hundreds of beauty bags for New Horizons over the years. Lois never turned away a child at the door without buying something. She gave whatever she could to her most precious grandchildren. Lois was the easiest person in the world to be with and she had many friends. The world is a better place because of her loving spirit.
Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick" of La Crosse; three children, Rick (Rose) Graff of Stoddard, Wis., Kim (BJ) Johnson of La Crosse, and Tracy (John) LeJeune of Coon Valley, Wis.; eight grandchildren, John LeJeune (Becca) of La Crosse, Erik (Crystal) Johnson of Carp Lake, Mich., Erin Johnson of Melbourne, Australia, Jenny (Lucas) Hanson of Romance, Wis., Greg (Teresa) Graff of DeSoto, Wis., Ryan Johnson of La Crosse, Richard (Larissa) Johnson of Detroit, Mich., and Randy Graff (Casey) of Stoddard; five great-grandchildren, Zaidee Graff, Lucy and Evan Johnson, and Josie and Cooper Hanson; one sister, Jane Temp of Green Bay, Wis.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents.
In accordance with her wishes, Lois' body will be cremated and there are no services or burial planned. Friends and family are invited to an open house on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at her home. Memorials are preferred to Gundersen Lutheran Hospice or to New Horizons.
