She lived in Jamestown, N.D., until 1968, when the family moved out west to Oregon City, Ore. Brenda was a 1977 graduate of Oregon City High School where she played on the tennis team, played the violin in orchestra, and was active in the Oregon City Evangelical Youth Group. Brenda attended George Fox College where she was on the women’s field hockey and tennis teams. She then transferred to Oregon State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Foods and Nutrition. From 1990 until 2001, she also worked at UPS where she met Mark Kolpitcke, whom she later married on November 16, 2004. They enjoyed many happy years together sharing their love of sports, recreational activities, trips to Florida, and family gatherings, especially on the jet skis which the grandkids loved. Brenda is a member of Coulee Life Church (formerly Sand Lake Wesleyan) and was active in youth ministry for many years, including Bible Quiz Bowl coach and hosting many youth beach activities. Brenda always went out of her way to make sure everyone was included in all activities and having fun. Growing up in Oregon she loved the beach and outdoor activities like running and jet skiing. She loved taking family and friends to the beach which provided many memorable outings. She and Mark enjoyed travelling to vacation spots and loved spending time with the grandkids.
