Obituary for Myron Elwood Pfaff

Myron Elwood Pfaff, 90, of Bangor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Mulder Health Care Facility. He was born on Sept. 8, 1927 to Roy and Florence (Wadel) Pfaff. Myron attended school through the eighth grade at Striped School. He married Alice M. Knudtson on June 20, 1950. They lived their entire life in the Bangor area. Myron was a owner operator of a milk hauling business and also farmed for many years, until he started Pfaff Excavating. He enjoyed working with many clients, starting their new homes in the area. Myron also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing euchre, watching the Brewers, and NASCAR racing. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they loved him too. He is survived by his wife, Alice; five children, Mary (Jim) Ziegler, Sandra (Sam) Arentz, Nancy (Billy) Watson, M. David (Beth) Pfaff, and Mark (Mimi) Pfaff; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roger (Jane) Pfaff and Leroy (Joan) Pfaff; sister, Elizabeth (Bill) Schroeder. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, West Salem. Pastor Jonathan Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow in Burns Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at the Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, Bangor Chapel, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
