I am sorry to hear of Raymond's illness and death. I know nothing of this until the newspaper. He will be remembered fondly. I will be unable to attend the services, but will be thinking and praying for all of you. Please keep his warmth and his memories close to your hearts.

I just wanted to send my condolences to Ray's family. I worked with Ray for many years at All Power in Sioux City, Iowa. He will be missed by his co-workers at All Power. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this difficult time.

Geneva and family, I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. It's a painful time. But know now that he has no more pain. We had so much fun as teens; our gang would go up to The bowling alley in Caledonia and play air hockey or foos-ball...or acually bowl! He was usually the one to pick me up in what I remember was a huge green car and we(the gang!) would hang out or take a tour of every street in Eitzen(that took about 5 mins!) Or sometimes we would play Euchre at Ruby's or just sit on the steps of the old school. Yea we were The Gang and I will never forget those times we shared. He will be in my thouts and prayers.

I want to share my sincerest condolences with Raymond's family. I sympathize with the pain you are feeling in this difficult time. The world can be a very difficult place at times. We can always have hope though, our Creator makes us a beautiful promise at Revelation 21:3,4. We know that His promises will not fail, so we can look forward to a future with hope. I hope that this can bring you comfort in this difficult time.

I was so sorry to read about the passing of Raymond. Richard stopped down here at my work the other day but I had no idea Raymond was ill or here at the hospital until I read the paper. Losing someone so young is so hard, but for Raymond he is no longer in pain. I am sorry I will not be able to make it to the visitation because I am working but know that I am thinking of all of you and sending my sympathy.

Geneva, I am Mona Donovan Eggen's oldest daughter. My deepest sympathy to you and the rest of your family. I remember coming from the "city" and going to the Donovan farm and playing in the hills with Raymond, Robert & Richard. I am so very sorry for your loss. May the thoughts and prayers of others bring you peace, comfort and strength in the days ahead.

I want to wish Ray's family my condolences over our mutual loss. I was truly saddened to hear about Ray's passing. He and I were good friends and classmates in high school. Unfortunately, we lost track of each other over the last 30+ years, as our life's paths took different directions. I must share a story about him when we were at the end of our freshman year in high school. I decided to run for Student Council Treasurer for the following school year and needed to give a speech to the entire high school about why I felt I should be elected. I was also required to have someone who would give a nomination speech prior to mine. I asked Ray if he would do this and he proudly agreed and we began to prepare our speeches. Several days after he had agreed, his brother, Robert, decided to run against me for the same elected position. When I found this out, I gave Ray the option of bowing out in nominating me, because I didn't want him to feel obligated in this awkward situation. Ray never wavered and insisted that he was nominating me and that was that. He gave a nice nominating speech to the student body. That was the kind of friend he was--loyal and dedicated. You will be missed, Ray! Now heaven will enjoy your company.
