Cyndy, Although I did not know Harold personally, I know from my relationship with you how much of your life and life's work as a teacher and mother came from his support and love. I am thinking of you and holding you in my prayers.

I am sorry for your loss and am unable to be there to personally give you a hug. I will be sending something to the Cancer Society.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I went to WWTC with Harry for Printing and Publishing. I have so many great memories of him! He was a very nice man. The world lost a great guy when he passed away! He will be missed by many.

My sincere sympathy to the Nichols family. I also had the pleasure of working with Harry at the "Mills" Yes, I enjoyed and admired his collection of memorabilia of the mills. But his wonderful stories and memories he shared of his family and the memories that Cyndy and your family have are the true keepsakes that you will cherish forever in your hearts. I had the occasional pleasure of working with Harry at La Crosse Footwear. I always admired him for his problemsolving and future planning skills. He was well respected as an honest and straightforward coworker. You have my sincerest sympathy. God bless you, Harry.

Cyndy, It's been a long time since I have substitute taught as 6 years ago I took a job change, working at TJ Maxx. I see many teachers that I have subbed for or with there, and do remmeber seeing you there one day also. I did not know of your husband's illness, but will remember him in my prayers tonight. I entered his caringbridge to read a few enteries and to view the pictures of him with the new grandson. I'm sure he will always be watching over you and that special little boy, as Harry will be your true life guardian angel. May you have comfort and heal through your loss. As another older student I was in the Printing and Publishing program with Harry. I remember him as great fun and admired him as a friend. My sympathies to his family as I know he will be greatly missed.

TO HARRY'S WIFE AND KIDS, I WORKED WITH HARRY AT LA CROSSE GRAPHICS. HARRY WAS VERY NICE-KIND-A GREAT LISTENER-EASY-GOING-CARING-SENSITIVE GUY. HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE. I WANTED YOU TO KNOW HE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT HIS WIFE AND KIDS AND HOW VERY MUCH HE LOVED THEM-AND YOU COULD TELL BY THE WAY HE TALKED ABOUT THEM AND THE THINGS HE SAID-IT WAS SO OBVIOUS. HE ALSO TALKED 'BOUT HIS LOVE FOR DOGS AND DOG SITTING WAS SOMETHING HE LOVED VERY MUCH ALSO. HE TOLD ME ONCE HE WANTED TO BE A PRIEST BECAUSE HE LOVED HELPING PEOPLE AND LISTENING TO PEOPLE-HE GOT AN EARFUL FROM ME-HE WAS GREAT-HE REALLY CARED AND IT SHOWED. HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALOT OF PEOPLE AND DOGS. HEAVEN JUST GOT A GREAT GUY. REMEMBER HE LOVED YOU VERY MUCH.

To the friends and family of Harry Nichols: I had the fortune of working with Harry at LaCrosse Footwear for a number of years. Harry liked the solitude of having his own area and being his own boss. He often talked about his family with pride and always looked forward to vacations with his wife in the summer. He enjoyed collecting LaCrosse Footwear memorabilia over the years and I've often wondered what ever became of that collection. It was quite interesting what he would find from the company's past. Harry took pride in his work. He was often given difficult problems and came up with creative solutions. Many times he was challenged, but he never said no to anyone. I'm glad Harry was able to enjoy that job for many years. It seemed to suit him. Harry and I both shared a love for dogs. I know it was difficult for him when his dog passed on, but he enjoyed many years of pet-sitting for others. We often talked about his canine guests. I'm sorry you lost Harry at such a young age. Life is fleeting. May your faith help you through this difficult time.

When Harry worked at the Footwear Company, I was working for Universal Business Forms. I went over to the print shop every month to inventory forms and Harry and I would talk about evrything. I remember mostly him talking about his Family and how proud he was of his Daughters. Harry was a Good Guy, and will be missed.

Cyndy and Family There are no words that we can say that express how sad we are to lose Harry. He was a wonderful neighbor, kind, thoughtful, loving, caring and above all was there if you needed anything. We feel blessed to have lived next to him and to you. To the Family of Harold Nichols: We are so very sorry for your loss of Harold, at such an early age. Life has a tendency to constantly throw things are way to test our love and faith. Are hearts go out to you at this time, as your hearts are now breaking. Blake shared a childhood memory of going downstairs in grandma and grandpa's basement with Harold and his band members. He thought that was just the coolest thing; just watching them practice and playing their instruments. They both loved the older 50's and 60's music; something they neither grew out of. Like you, I've lost someone very close to me from cancer. My aunt wasn't much older than Harold. It's been almost six years now, the pain does get better, but I still cry for her, and I still talk to her. She is physically gone, but she is with me daily.
