Jane,Deann,Vicki,Scott & Families; Alice,Luella,Florence,Donald & Families: My sincere & heartfelt sympathy to you all! Everyone who knew Butch will miss him in unique ways, but his loss certainly leaves a void for each of us. I first met Butch 70 1/2 years ago when he started 1st (me 2nd) grade at Lower Dutch Creek School. We were both snot-nosed 6-year old rascals, but he was more gregarious due to being "nurtured" by 8 older siblings, while I was firstborn (still am). We were schoolmates 10 years, "highlighted" by our double-dating to the junior prom in 1958, both with Antony girls (unrelated). We rode in style" in Donald's 1956 Ford. For 50 years ('59-'09) I lived distant from Bangor so I saw Butch only occasionally, usually at July 4 celebrations. But when I returned upon retirement, Butch recruited me to join the Legion, which I had considered myself ineligible for. Thus began a renewed relationship with Butch, as well as others I would not have otherwise related. I observed that Butch was well-respected and he was certainly devoted to serving fellow veterans. He certainly earned a title I choose to bestow on him posthumously: "General Bangor American Legion". I prayed diligently for God to grant Butch a few more years with us, but I guess He has another mission for Butch. For this world: "Well done, good and faithful servant". Mission accomplished, Butch; rest peacefully.

We are sorry for your loss. Prayers are being sent.

Aunt Jane and Family Please accept my deepest sympathy. Uncle Butch was a large part of my dad's enjoyment with his family - the baseball trips, working on the farm and the many brother breakfasts. I also have fond memories as a child visiting the farm and grateful that he showed my children the fun of being on a farm. I hope the many happy memories will help you heal from your loss.
