Condolences for

My deepest sympathies to all of you. I was so sad when I saw her obituary in the paper - I didn't know she had passed. I worked with Jan at ABLE on Winnebago street lots of years ago now. She was a great teacher and a joy to work with. She was very particular - she wanted things done right. She had a way of gently but firmly teaching you the correct way to do things. I will always remember her wide smile, her huge laugh and her gentle ways. Gods Blessings to you all.

Gary and I had such good memories when we met when Rolf served in Cogswell/Havanna and Gary served in Forman. Our friendship continued thru the years. I so enjoyed Jan's obituary. It captured her. I loved her laugh. I mourn her passing with you family memories. I am sending a donation to Luther Seminary in her memory. No thank you necessary.

My sympathy to all of you! Your Mom was a wonderful person and I will always treasure our work together at Houston County Group Homes. She was caring, compassionate and professional, but her friendliness and competency went beyond! She truly improved lives with her dedicated work. I will always appreciate her friendship as we worked together to serve our friends with disabilities! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Denny Theede

A 18 year old foreign student could not be more happy with his host family than I was, staying with the Storlies in Caledonia and having Jan as my american mom. It was a wonderful year and today I am in Norway thinking back on all those wonderful memories, wishing I could be there for Jan's funeral and be with you all. I am also grateful Jan got to visit us in Norway only a few years back. Thank you.

I met Jan in Minneapolis when I moved there in 1964. She became a dear friend and confidant. Although I moved back to the west coast in 1966, but always remembered her with great fondness. One of the brightest lights in this world has gone out. God bless her memory. Pat Ness, Tacoma Washington

We wish we could be there to visit with all of Jan's relatives and friends but aren't able to travel any more. We treasure the times when Jan would come to visit Char and I after we were married over 60 years ago. Jan certainly was a very special 2nd cousin to me and the obituary describes her life very well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you who are left to mourn her loss but Praise the Lord she can be with Rolf again. Love. John and Char
