Condolences for

Dear Barb, I remember Robert (Jake) from 3rd grade and through our graduation in '67 as a very good guy. I wish I had known him better and that I had met you too. I know you've had struggles to face. It always seems to me that it's through our struggles that we grow, even though none of us would ask for the tough times. I expect there came a richness in each of you and in your marriage through it all (that you may not even be aware of). May God bless you with His peace, comfort and provision especially during this time! I look forward to checking out Time of Grace too because of your recommendation and in honor of my classmate, Robert. Marlene Thies/Hutter

Dear Barbara and Family, I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. Bob and I were childhood friends and we grew up about a block apart. We used to ride our honda 50's motor cycles all over town together. We did go hunting a couple of times and we also would go up town to shoot baskets at open gym on Saturday's. I was one year behind Bob in high school and really always appreciated him as a friend. I have been away from Caledonia for many years and have lost touch with many friends but continue to follow the Argus the web site. My God comfort you and your family during this time. A long ago friend of Bob but never forgotten. Sincerely, Gordon Rostvold

Barb and family; I was so sorry to hear about Bob. He certainly fought the good fight. He and I didn't talk very often but I looked forward to the funny e-mails he sent weekly. The last time we talked he said he was looking forward to seeing Lee. The world has lost a good man. I will keep you and the family in my prayers.

Dear Barb and Family, Our sincere sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your husband & father, Robert. As we learned in catechism class together, this sinful world brings us all kinds of trials and tribulation. Robert's long battle is now won and he has received his crown of glory that we can only dream of yet. He knows how great heaven is and we know he is saving us all a place. Our prayer is that God will take away your sorrow and bless you and your family because you will always have the great memories and also the knowledge of where your loved one is now and forever. Always remember -- God IS with you always. In Christian love, Joan & Dewey
