Condolences for

In my fourteen years as a pastor at Good Shepherd, I was blessed to have experienced the participation of Norm and Jeanette in the life and work of Good Shepherd, through their attendance, participation, stewardship, and personal support they expressed. They were exemplary in the expression of their faith in spite of the many health struggles they experienced. Through it all, they were indeed "each others other self." I know that they had a great love and sense of pride for their entire family, and my thoughts and prayers are will all of you as you mourn his death. "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master."
From Rev. Roger Hjelle

I wish to offer my condolences to the Norman Almquist's two daughters and his grandchildren. If anyone would like to know what Norman endured during WWII, take a look at "Once Upon A Time In War: The 99th Division in WWII." This personal, candid narrative is based on more than 350 interviews with veterans of the division--reviews on Amazon.com. Sincerely, Robert E. Humphrey, Sacramento, CA

Susan & Kirsten, I had the privilege and honor of working with your dad at Sentry. He was a very good and kind man. And I have to tell you, I learned more from him than any other person in the industry. I credit him with much of my success. I didn't realize just how much, but as I got older it was quite apparent to me. I am so sorry for your loss. May the peace of Christ be with you and your families.
From Deanie Buckley

Kirsten & Susan, I first met your dad at my new job at Sentry Insurance in the Special Accounts department in Jan 1980. He was a very knowledgeable person, had a dry sense of humor, was very kind & he was a great educator. I will always remember his laugh. I am sure you & your families all have very fond memories of him which should be cherished forever. Sympathies to all. He will be missed.

My sympathy goes out to your family. I have had the privilege to know Norm from Good Shepherd Church. He was always willing to assist and always had a kind word. I am so glad my path crossed his in my life. He was a kind and thoughtful gentleman. I will miss him.

My sympathy to all the family. Norm was a good friend and neighbor. I will miss having him next door. This is the way he wanted it to be. God's peace be with you.

We had the pleasure of knowing Norm for years, as we work at his dental office. Seeing his name on the schedule brightened our day:) Both he and Jeanette were some of our favorite patients. Thinking of your family during this difficult time and hoping that "Fuzzy" found a good home.
