My wonderful memories are when Mother (Louise) and I would come to Auntie Elaine house and stay. There was always things going on. Yes I remember Elaine coming down to Iowa and helped My Mother with her curtains. Also all of her ideas. She was a wonderful person. I'm sure her faith help her to get though all of trying days. Auntie you family are in our prayers.

Elaine as I knew her, was my Aunt. Even though her life was very challenging at times she always seemed to stay positive when around our family. My mother, her sister Louise McFarland, and my father Darrell McFarland along with her brother Johnny did a lot traveling together after they all retired. They truly enjoyed their time together and made some wonderful memories for all of them. I will always remember that Elaine was willing to share her faith and her relationship with Christ with her family. I will also remember her as a positive wonderfully warm person to be around. Even though her health was failing she insisted on coming to Ames for Tony McFarland's, who is our son, graduation at Iowa State. Family was clearly very important to her. Her example of love will long be remembered. Her whole family will miss her deeply. I'm sure she is with Christ now who has restored her good health.
