Condolences for
A Poem for My Dad
My dad is no longer here
How I wish I could turn back time
With him, I could drink one more beer
Miller High Life for him, mine with lime.
I didn't get to say goodbye
For that I'll always regret
For me, it was too soon for him to die
Now Im here reminiscing while I fret.
Life is too short they all say
How that rings true
hold close to you each and every day
May your heart not be so blue.
Im going to miss my dad
He did his best to raise me
There were times I was bad
And strict he had to be.
Dad I want to thank you
For being a father to me
Teaching me to be honest and true
To open my eyes and see.
Now it's time for you to rest
Watching over me from above
Hoping to always do my best
And honor you with all my love.
I love you dad and you will ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART!!!
Love,
Your daughter, Charlotte
