Dan always had a smile and was kind. He was a classmate and was my neighbor in the'80's. Our children played together. It's hard to believe that he is gone and I am sorry for your loss. I know that Dan wanted to attend our 40th class reunion on 6/3/17; even changing his plans to get back in time from his fishing trip to be with us. We were looking forward to Dan & Mindy's attendance. The word of his passing was a shock. We gathered with broken hearts. Travel well on God's Journey my friend. You will be missed here.

Mindy and family; My heart aches over the loss of Dan. I have always looked forward to visiting with Dan at our class reunions. He was ready with a smile and conversation for anyone he ran into. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

I don't believe that anybody that knew Dan Hesselberg would ever forget him. I know the impact that all the Hesselberg's have made on anyone they met, the locals of West Salem, scouts they spent time with, friends and family. I believe the Hesselberg boys had the biggest impact on my young life. The memory of Dan will forever be imprinted in my thoughts. Thanks to God for bringing him into this world, allowing us to spend time with this incredible man. May he rest in peace.

For all of Dan's family we wish to offer our prayers and condolences.

What can I say about a great friend that I grew up just a block down the street from me. Becoming Eagle Scouts together, going to school together. I went back for our class reunion and was saddened of the news. Eric you were part of my childhood and you will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Growing up I have many fond memories of Danny when our families would go camping together. I always remember his sense of humor and great laugh. And when I would see him at family reunions, his humor and laugh was contagious. We was a wonderful cousin and person and I will miss him very much, but he will live in my memories.

MIndy and Sarah, I am so sad hearing this news. I cannot even pretend to know what you are feeling but I hope that the beautiful times rise to the top and create unexpected smiles right when you need them. Our family will be praying for peace during this season. It is a poignant reminder to all that we do not know what tomorrow may bring and with that please know that I love you... Margaret

I WAS DAN, ERIC AND ADAM'S HIGH SCHOOL SHOP TEACHER AND REMEMBER THAT ALL THE BOYS WERE EXCELLENT STUDENTS. DAN AND I HIT IT OFF PARTICULARLY WELL BECAUSE OF THE MUTUAL INTEREST IN CARS. WE WOULD RUN INTO EACH OTHER AT MANY OF THE CAR SHOWS AND SEEMINGLY OTHER PLACES TOO. I CAN ONLY FEEL ANGER WHEN TALENTED YOUNG PEOPLE GET TAKEN. HOPEFULLY HIS FAMILY IS STRONG AND WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY ON. AGAIN--SORRY FOR THE LOSS. RAY

Dear Mindy and Family, I'm very sorry for your loss. Dan was a great guy. I regret that I won't be able to attend Dan's celebration as I will be out of the country for my daughter's wedding. Dan will be in my thoughts. Mindy, I'll be checking in with you when I get back. Take care all. Sincerely, Rod
