Steve and family, On behalf of the chaplain's department here at Mayo Clinic La Crosse, I extend our sympathy for your loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, especially today.

Mary was a wonderful human being. To me, she embodied the truest definition of a midwestern grandma by filling each day of our grandchildren's lives with warmth, love, kindness and compassion. Not only did I witness this with our shared grandbabies and the acceptance and love she bestowed upon my daughter but, for all who entered her life. I felt an honor in becoming part of her family, albeit at a distance, and was humbled by her values and way of ife. Mary, you are at peace now, but, I will miss you dearly.

Our prayers and sympathy to all of you, in the loss of your wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Mary was a wonderful woman with the best smile and attitude in the world! Peace be with you.
