To live in the hearts and minds of those we leave behind

Let us help get you started

Condolences for

The lights shine a little dimmer at Carroll Heights since Gene's sudden passing. The deserted jigsaw puzzle table quitely underscores the absence of him. The last puzzle he worked on still remains as a not-so-subtle reminder of the suddenness of his departure. His personable wit and friendliness reached out to everyone he encountered and he will be missed by all. It is difficult to grasp that he is no longer here, that his cheerful voice will no longer call out a friendly greeting, that he will no longer playfully tease and joke, that we will no longer hear him proudly speak of his daughters and grandchildren. His unexpected departure reminds us of how very fragile is the thread which holds us to this life and how easily and quickly that thread can be broken, that every precious memont of life is a gift to be seized and treasured. I always had the feeling that Gene somehow managed to seize and treasure each moment of his long and interesting life, even when he didn't realize he was doing so. God's speed to you, Gene. You left many positive footprints in this life, and you will most certainly be remembered and missed.

So sorry, thoughts & prayers are with family. Ron said he can still taste fish he would give us & we still have the flower pots by our front step and a lot of good memories. Again our sympathy but now in a better place with his wife.
