Don and Scott, I have enjoyed getting to know your wife/mother through working at the library. I never knew she was battling cancer. She was a courageous women not to have shown it. She will surely be missed by many, but mostly by the two of you. We will keep you in our prayers. With our Sympathy. Mike and Karen Gran

Scott and Don, I have such fond memories of Marie and her endless energy, ambition and zest for life, even as a farm wife in the early years. She always tried to see the good in everyone, and was eager to be a friend to all. May her example of strong faith and positive attitude sustain you during the difficult days, weeks and months ahead. My mother, Juliet Seim, sends her thoughts, prayers and condolences from the Stewartville Nursing Home, as well.

Scott and Donny; Heaven is rejoicing and the angels are singing and dancing on the clouds, as they have just greeted the newest "earth angel." Marie waged a ferocious battle against that "devil called cancer" and she did it with grace and confidence that she was going to win~~and win she did!! Her up-beat spirit and love for her Lord and savior was evident in every breath that she took and she knew exactly where she was going. What a glorious day it will be when we will, once again, be together to celebrate that eternity together. I'm sure Marie will have the doors to that "mansion that He has prepared for her" wide open and and she will be eagerly awaiting our arrival and with meatballs ready to serve!! May God bless and strengthen you through this stressful time. Sending much love and hugs.

I am so sorry for your loss, but I truely believe that Marie is now free from any pain and struggles. She was a lady of such grace and dignity and she never lost either throughout her illness. I will always remember her as being everso helpful, and always in very kind way. I will always have fond memories of her and her leadership in the Legion Auxiliary.

Scott, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I met her because your Uncle Joe is married to my sister-in-law, Carol. Your mother was always such a gracious person. Because I have family ties in Caledonia I would see her occasionally and she was always so friendly. She enjoyed talking about what was going on in your life. She always had such a positive outlook on life. I'm sorry she had to suffer with cancer. It sounds like she had a strong faith and I'm sure that was a great comfort to her. With deepest sympathy.
