Dear Beth (and Tony and Debbie): So sorry to read of the passing of your dad. He took me to Arlington Heights and taught me about horse racing and triptix (scratch offs) and I actually won money that day. I went to exactly one other horse race years later, where I lost on every bet, and so I realized there was more to it than luck, and without his tips, I had no chance! But seriously, what a great person who, all these years later (35+) I still remember for his kindness, patience, and the warmth he showed me. I live in Virginia now, but my mother lives near LaCrosse and forwarded me the obituary -- we all had dinner together once in LaCrosse, and he made such a solid impression that she thought this must be the same Eduardo Guzman I often talked about and whom she had met those many years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with your dad and your family and you struggle through this terrible loss. R.I.P. Eduardo. Don Keffer Alexandria, VA

I had the pleasure of working with Eddie many years ago at Benson Optical. He was a wonderful guy, and I will always remember working with him and enjoying the Benson Optical softball games with Eddie and the other guys. To his loved ones, I offer my sympathy and prayers, and I will remember Eddie very fondly. God Bless!

My prayers and thoughts are with you, Tony and family. It's never easy losing a loved one. Your dad was a very handsome man and Tony must have got his good looks from him! Remember the happy times ..God bless..Linda Meyer (I worked with Tony at GHS in behavioral health)

We cannot express the sorrow we feel for your family's loss and want to send you our sincere condolences. We understand what you are going through. I lost mom in December. She is dearly missed! We want to leave you with a few scriptures that a friend gave us. We hope they bring you comfort as they have us! Jesus Christ promised. “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5: 28, 29) Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” "No resident will say I am sick." “At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness.” (Isaiah 33:24 and 35:5, 6.) It helps me to think of the day when there will no longer be obituary columns to bring sadness, instead there may be just the opposite, announcements of newly resurrected ones... and we can welcome them back with open arms! No matter how great the promises are we still miss them. I miss my mom terribly every day! My husband and I were given a audio link of others who coped with the loss of a loved one and it was wonderful to receive. I'm including it for you. www.jw.org/download/?fileformat=MP3&output=html&pub=we&langwritten=E&option=TRGCHlZRQVNYVrXF Our prayers are with you! The White's 812-350-9888
