Our hearts broke to hear of you passing...life is definitely too short. It was a privilege to call you our friend. We've been reminiscing about our fun day on the river last summer and will cherish the fun and many laughs we had. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Dwight from our family. My heart goes out to all the Smith's and his extended family but especially to his three children. It seems like yesterday we were just kids visiting our Grandparents in Ithaca. I'm so glad you had a wonderful life. Till we meet again :)

I didn't get to know Dwight well, but as a step Dad to my niece and nephew, I am glad he was there for them when they were growing up. We had no idea he was sick, and we would like to tell all of you who loved him how sorry we are you have lost him so soon in life. To the family, my heart-felt sympathies. I remember Dwight as a really nice person, who was genuinely interested in people, what they had to say, what was going on around them. Although we didn't spend a great deal of time together throughout our lives, times at Grandma and Grandpa Smith's in Ithaca and your visits to my parent's home will always be fondly remembered.
